This story shows the issue of the protesters' political ideologies, 

as well as the excessive force used by police that ignited the violence 

during the Sewol Ferry Anniversary event.

이 방송은 세월호 1주기 추모집회와 관련해 연행자에 대한 경찰의 사상 검증, 

폭력 사태를 유발한 경찰의 과잉 방어 등의 문제를 다루고 있습니다.

Don’t cry, gather, or remember

Rallies to memorialize the victims of the Sewol ferry that sank a year ago were held across South Korea last April. Police, in response to the rallies, built walls with police buses to block protesters and used water cannons to suppress them. 477 police buses were deployed while 33 tons of water were fired. 100 protesters were taken by the police. It has been turned out that the police conducted ideology inspections of the protesters who had been taken in by asking questions such as whether they deny the South Korean government. Mainstream media spotlighted a man who put the national flag of South Korea on fire at the rally, turning the image of the Sewol rally into a violent protest.
